Description
The Iconic "Meet The Beatles" Capitol T-2047 Mono. This is the "third" label variation where (from Fab Four Collectible web site): "THE ALBUM CREDITS ALL SONGS ON SIDE TWO AS ASCAP, EXCEPT FOR "I WANNA BE YOUR MAN", WHICH IS CREDITED TO BMI. SIDE ONE CREDITS THE FIRST TWO TRACKS TO BMI, WITH THE REMAINING FOUR SONGS TO ASCAP." Matrix Side 1 T1-2047-P21 with the IAM triangle, and Side 2 T2-2047-T10 also with IAM triangle.
Record was stored in ORIGINAL BLUE INNER SLEEVE. There is a 2" split on the bottom of the sleeve, small tears on both sides of the opening, and a split on one of the two edges on the seam near the opening. So the inner sleeve, while colors are intact, has light wear issues. The record has light scratches amid fairly clean vinyl, a little more on Side 2 compared to Side 1. I'll grade somewhat conservatively as VG (might be better).
The selling points for this include THE ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE and the JACKET which is the cleanest and well preserved I've seen without shrink. Essentially no corner or edge wear, slight yellowing around the edges on the white spaces on back. Paste-on slightly askew front jacket. VERY NICE JACKET!
