RARE AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL VEE JAY RELEASE OF, SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES.
This is a 3/4 gatefold cover. It contains Vee Jay's "Introducing The Beatles", which is the US release of "Please Please Me". This version appears closest to the version in Discogs described as the Mono, Arc Pressing. The matrix has a stamped word that is rubbed down but looks like Audiomatrix, and there are etched items including a clear, 63-3402-1 on Side 1 but other matrix etched characters are very faint. The label design overall best matches this Mono, Arc Pressing, of the authentic rainbow label versions on Discogs.
The jacket is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with moderate to heavy corner wear, light edge wear with no splits, but two pieces of black electric tape strips applied to top and bottom edges at the opening to repair maybe splits and heavy wear at these locations (see listing photo). There are no marks and a very faint ring back jacket. The LP stored in a plain white inner sleeve. There are two light visible but not feelable scratches over the last 2 cuts on Side 1. These are shown in listing photos. Without these scratches, Side 1 is very clean and would be graded VG++ or better. Side 2 has no similar scratches and is very clean with maybe a faint scratch or scuff, and I'd grade this side alone as VG++ to NM. Overall, I'll give the LP a grade of VG+, to consider these Side 1 visible scratches.
