Description
The first issue of this Blue Note BLP 4017 LP was in 1959, with reissues in 1963 and 1964 (according to discogs). The features on all of these are similar and I didn't find one exactly like mine, so I'll provide the features only without stating a date of production. They include:
RVG stamped and "P" etched for Plastylite, usually wrongly called "ear", in the run out grooves of both sides.
Deep grooved blue and white labels with "Blue Note Records Inc • 47 West 63rd • NYC" address, both sides.
Back cover reads "43 West 61rd St., New York 23".
and these matrices:
Matrix / Runout (Side 1 runout etched/stamped): BN.LP-4017.A. RVG P Matrix / Runout (Side 2 runout etched/stamped): BN.LP-4017.B. RVG P
Glossy jacket with small scrunch upper right hand corner front jacket, very light corner wear otherwise, little to no edge wear, no rings or splits, previous owner magic-marked name back jacket. LP stored in original Blue Note inner sleeve, unsplit. The LP will be stored and shipped in a plain white inner sleeve to preserve the condition of the original inner. LP LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE with a faint scratch or two on clean vinyl, in the range of VG++ to NM, but I'll settle on VG++ to be conservative.
