Description
The disc is VG+ with only three surface scratches that do NOT affect play. The paper inner sleeve (same color as the jacket) is VG+. All 12 inserts are here and in VG+ condition. The gatefold jacket is in VG condition with some signs of shelf-wear and ring-wear (see pics).
NOTE: Looks to be one of the first 500 pressed since they contained the “Live At the Marquee” poster, not “Live at Leeds” and the jacket’s front wording was done in blue.
This is DECCA DL 79175, the first live album by The Who, recorded February 14, 1970 / released May 16, 1970. This American pressing (no CAMPO copyright on back cover or Track logo on poster) is an early pressing; looks to be one of the first 500. Matrix # 7 12420 1/3. The vinyl’s weight is approximately 136 grams, the title on front is stamped in blue and the poster is “The Who….Tuesdays at the Marquee”, NOT “The Who…Live at Leeds”. Also, the label is printed with brown lettering, not in black as used later.

Of special note, LIVE AT LEEDS is the only live album that was released while the group was still actively recording and performing with their best-known line-up of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
