 Matrix no. Side A:  2Y MG 291-1G
Matrix no. Side B:  2Y MG 292-1G
Front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. flipback sleeve (Patent No. 943 895).

 

Condition:
Record = EX  label side one has small sticker tear, otherwise clean record's surface
with just few hairlines, no deep marks or scratches !
Cover = EX   lamination still intact, original cover gloss is partly intact, sl. ringwear,
cornerwear, no tears, no writings, no cut out holes ...

Comment:

Overall condition, very nice !!
Megarare item in any condition,
because two mixes of this LP exist. Engineer Val Valentin completed a clean, bright, evenly balanced mix, but Lou Reed made an alternate mix. Valentin's mix was used for the 1969 UK issue, Reed's mix was used for the later MGM Select issue. The image of Lou Reed on the reverse sleeve is split horizontally on this issue. On all other issues the image is split vertically.
These differences to later mixes makes
the UK 1st issue 1969 so interesting for fans & collector's !
