This Award is a Geniune RIAA Gold Award Regarding its acquisition: I bought it from the man who is considered America's greatest collector of RIAA awards working in the music industry: Jeff Gold (of Recordmecca) He has an incredible amount of RIAA awards. He sells a few lots from time to time, and that's why I bought this one with all confidence for my collection.
Item is in Excellent Condition : You can see very small scratches on the glass and on the frame if you look at it in strong light or under the sun. But these scratches are minimal especially if we take into consideration that this Collector dates from 1990 ! By placing this frame on a wall (as it is currently at my home) we do not see any defect !

MICHAEL OSTIN Is a Los Angeles basedentertainment veteran with over 35 years of experience in the industry.
His career began at Warner Bros. Records in October 1977 as an A&R scout, and he worked his way up to Senior Vice President of A&R, holding that title from 1988 to 1996.
In that capacity, Michael was involved in signing and recording some of the most admired artists of the time :
Christopher Cross, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Prince, Madonna, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Seal, Quincy Jones, Al Jarreau, Nile Rodgers, and Q-Tip.
