LP Various Excello 8001 Tunes To Be Remembered Rare One

This is one of several 50's/early 60's compilations I'm auctioning this week, be sure to check out my other items. See the pictures for the songs on this LP. This is the very rare Excello 8001 and it has a great Blues and R&B song selection almost all only released on 45 and 78. The deep groove thick vinyl 1st press original US copy of this classic record is a nice VG+ with nice gloss and just some sleeve marks, hairlines and light scuffs. There is some light scratchiness that is not as loud as the music but many songs play very quietly. The cover is VG, decent looking on the front with just some light ring wear, just a bit more on the back, some staple holes in the upper left likely from the original price tag, the bottom seam is split 6" and there is some small spots of paper flaking on the spine and edge wear in general. Note - on several of the pictures there is some camera flash glare (mostly at the bottom of the covers and labels), this is not wear, just glare from the flash.

Buyer pays $9.00 shipping US priority mail for first LP, $3.00 for each additional. Media rate is $4.00 for the 1st LP ands $1.00 for each additional. Insurance, if desired is $1.70 up to $50.00, $2.15 for $50.01, to $100.00, $2.60 for $100.01 - $200.00, $4.60 for $200.01 to $300.00 and an $0.95 more for each additional $100.00.  These costs are for shipping to US only. Overseas rates as follows:  Canada $8.00 1 LP, $3.00 for each additional LP , Rest of the world is $15.00 for 1 LP and $4.00 for each additional. If you want insurance on items going outside the US the shipping price is much higher (at least $11.00 more) because I have to ship priority international to insure. Grading Policy:

• I specialize in harder to find LP's, Ep's and 45's. Grading is strict and I will do my best to describe every flaw I see. I will not try to BS anyone, make the item sound better than it is or use ambiguous terms like "should be" "maybe" "probably" etc. All records and jackets are visually graded unless noted otherwise. I TRY TO GRADE CONSERVATIVELY under the guidelines on this page, which generally follow the GOLDMINE standards. Although I try to be conscientious as a grader, there is the possibility that something could slip by me. In that event, I will always offer a money back guarantee for purchase price of the item if returned safe and secure and requested within a week of receipt.
• Mint = A mint item must be absolutely perfect. Certainly never been played if not still sealed. This would be an item where it was opened but not played maybe just to check the label variation. I very seldom use this grade.
  
• NM = The record shows no obvious signs of wear. The vinyl should show no wear from playing only the slightest of paper scuffs are acceptable. The jacket should look as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink-wrap.
• EX, NM- = The record or cover is clearly better than VG but not Near Mint. There should be some signs that the vinyl was played infrequently and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took excellent care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have light scuffs and or very minor light scratches that do not affect the listener experience at all. The label and spindle hole will be without flaws other than light spindle trails from being played only a few times if at all. The cover should be bright and sharp and will have only the very first evidence of discoloration or ring wear or creased corners. Although there may be some evidence of seam/spine wear, seam splits are not permitted for this grade. The jacket may be marked as a cut out by a drill hole, saw mark, cut corner or punch hole. I always try to list any cover flaws of significance. NM- is the higher of these two grades for my grading.
  
• VG+ = The record will show signs that the vinyl was played but taken care of. Record surfaces will show signs of wear including some light scratches/scuffs that do not significantly affect the listener experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are ok. Spindle holes will have some wear but not be enlarged or damaged in any way. The cover will have general wear/ring wear but not to the extent that it materially impairs enjoyment of the picture cover. Slight seam splits are ok for this grade. Again I will try to list any cover flaws of significance.
• Very Good = VG will have many of the same defects as VG , but will be more evident. The record may play with some noise or pops, but will not be enough to ruin the music. I try to describe any reason a record is VG other than light scratches or some dulling of the finish. I also will describe the cover well enough that along with the picture, you will know why it is VG. Records that are G and less will sometimes be offered on rarer items and you can expect deeper scratches and more loss of gloss.
