12" LP 33 - Very Rare - Obra-Ensaio de José Cid Onde Quando Como Porquê Cantamos Pessoas Vivas - Quarteto 1111 - PT Issue 1974 - Decca Records-SLPDP 5016 Progressive Rock 70's. Founded in 1967, the Quartet in 1111 were the most influential progressive rock band in Portugal. This album is the second (and last) studio album of the Portuguese band Quarteto 1111. With an upcoming symphonic rock sound, was recorded in 1974 and released in January 1975. In 2008, he met a CD edition, the collection "From time Vinyl " Musically innovative, the album reflects the context of April 25 (Portuguese revolution), addressing the feeling of joy and hope lived after the overthrow of the Estado Novo (regime of dictatorship)

The rarest of all Portuguese 70’s albums, and one of the ever best progressive rock records from Europe, we’re so happy to be ready with this title at last.
QUARTETO 1111 are better known for their psychedelic-pop recordings, but in 1974 they also released this incredible album, a brutal mellotron fuelled progressive rock monster very much inspired by UK prog outfits as King Crimson. A few years after, Quarteto’s leader José Cid recorded the well-known “10000 anos depois entre Venus e Marte”.
The album contains one long +30 minutes Psych only, becoming one of the rarest collector items from Portugal.

Record in a GOOD condition. Sleeve is darkened and with worn corners. See photos
