DESCRIPTION : A classic slice of rare funk from this multi-ethnic ensemble. The centerpiece is, of course, "Seven Minutes of Funk," a smooth funk stormer of biblical proportions sampled by Jay-Z, EPMD, The Alkaholiks, and many others. Other heaters on here include "Ain't Nothing But Something To Do," the Sly-esque "Stuck on Yourself," and the laid-back groover "Fly Away Love Bird." In case you were wondering, "SMOF" happens to be exactly seven minutes long. Not 7:05, not 7:36.
