Offered on this auction is this Extremely Rare South African ONLY LP pressing of "THE BIG BEAT OF THE BEATLES". This record was pressed on the Silver on Black Parlophone Label, and was released only in South Africa, and there were only VERY FEW pressed. These PMCJ 64 pressings are rarely offered for sale. ARTIST: THE BEATLES TITLE: THE BIG BEAT OF THE BEATLES LABEL: PARLOPHONE TRACKS Side 1: CAN'T BUY ME LOVE SHE LOVES YOU LOVE ME DO THIS BOY YOU CAN'T DO THAT I WANNA BE YOUR MAN TRACKS Side 2: I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND FROM ME TO YOU ASK ME WHY I'LL GET YOU THANK YOU GIRL SURFACES COND: EXCELLENT, with no deep scratches or faults. Both sides have a lovely gloss, and play through perfectly without surface noise. LABEL COND: EXCELLENT; there are no spindle insertion marks or signs of play (see photos). COVER COND: VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT; there are a some small edge creases, a name lightly penned on either side, and minimal signs of storage (see photos). PRESS No: PMCJ 64 MATRIX No's: XPEAX 167 and on Side 2: XPEAX 168. This item is part of the dispersal of my collection, which I am now forced to let go, many items of which are considered Very Rare. I've listed all my LP's with NO RESERVE, so I will let the real experts and collectors decide their true value. CONDITION GRADING TABLE NEAR MINT (NM): - A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. Sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. EXCELLENT To VERY GOOD PLUS (EX to VG+): - Records in this category will show some signs that it was played but handled carefully by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches. Sleeves will have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. VERY GOOD (VG): - Very Good condition records will have slightly more pronounced defects than VG+ including surface noise, groove wear and light scratches that may affect the sound. Sleeve and/or label will be marred by writing or have tape or stickers, although not ALL of these faults may be evident at the same time. GOOD To FAIR PLUS (G to F+): - A record in this category can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.
