JIM REEVES LPM-1256 'SINGING DOWN THE LANE'
The rarest RCA album (or one of, as us JTR collectors are well aware) in the history of Jim Reeves. Finding one: sometimes tough Finding one in this condition: Priceless!
Let's start with the Jacket....
Jacket Front: The front is nearly flawless. No ring wear!! There's a small 'bump' at the lower left corner. Followed by some white wear areas about 2/3 up at the opening.
Jacket Back: The back maintains its brilliant white color and, as well, lacks any signs of ring wear! The corners show signs of use but not bad. Top right of center is stamped: "Hit records". And the top left to nearly center top, there lies the sinful remains of amateur repair known as scotch tape. Also, a small area near the top left, the remains of a sticker of some sort. Jacket edges: The top left is taped about 1/3 across and there is a fresh 2" split from the opening. The bottom right has about a 2 1/2" split also from open end. The Bookend, however, is nearly perfect!!

Now for the wax:
Side 1: Quite stunning, really. Other than some light scuffing, and not much of that, the wax is nearly perfect. It still maintains its beautiful factory luster and shine. The center label is quite nice with 360 degrees of slight spindle wear.
Side 2: Same as side 1 with the exception of a small linear scuff on the last track. Although it appears as a scratch, as I view the record side on, it vanishes. Also, it can't be felt with the fingertip. Spindle wear a bit more evident as it appears he preferred side 1 over side 2. Overall, great care was taken when playing or storing this album.

The inner sleeve is near perfection. No Splits, No creases!
