Description :

This is a wonderful album with the great Byron Janis as the soloist on piano. Catalog # LSC-2237 this may be the greatest stereo recorded version of Rachmaninoff's "Piano Concerto No. 3 in d Minor,. The conductor is Charles Munch leading the Boston Symphony Orchestra. With the duo of Richard Mohr as producer and Lewis Layton as engineer, RDC again has a musical masterpiece. The piano is wonderful in this recording. I think it is spot miked just right. This is of course a early triple track master tape in the great acoustics of Symphony Hall, in Boston. The vinyl on this record is PRISTINE on both sides, Absolutly stunning acoustics. Byron Janis is at his prime in this recording. I hate to part with it. Cover VG+ , Record unplayed condition..
