Description

10 LP Living Stereo set: "Stereo for the Joy of it" Ten Classic Living Stereo Shaded Dog Classical Recordings
Welcome!I recently acquired a huge collection of records mostly in terrific condition which I will be selling on eBay individually and in lots. Check back for more titles! This is an auction for a set of 10 Records. This set appears to be treated with care, but some records were played more than others, so the condition varies. Overall the records are on the high side of VG+. They are all shaded dog labels. The Jacket is in EX condition. For details on the individual records, see below:
LSC 1901: Tchaikovsky Symphony No 6 In B Minor, Op. 74 • Boston Symphony Orchestra; Pierre Monteux, Conductor • Condition: VG+ to EX
LSC 1903: Brahms Concerto in D, Op. 77 • Jasch Heifetz, Violin • Chicago Symphony; Fritz reiner, Conductor • Condition: VG (this one is the worst of the bunch--it has a good bit of surface noise, but is still quite enjoyable to listen too; if you want a really good copy of this album, however, see my other auctions for an EX 1s copy of this record)
LSC 1984: Ravel Bolero, La Valse, Rapsodie Espagnole; Debussy Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun • Boston Symphony Orchestra; Charles Munch, Conductor • Condition: VG+ to EX LSC 2100: Rimsky-Korsakoff Suite from "Le Coq D'or"; Rossini Overture to "William Tell"; Tchaikovsky Marche Slave • Boston Pops Orchestra; Arthur Fiedler, Conductor • Condition: High VG+
LSC 2150: Lieutenant Kije Suite, Op. 60; Stravinsky Song of the Nightingale • Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Fritz Reiner, Conductor • Condition: VG+
LSC 2195: Copeland Billy the Kid, Rodeo • Morton Gould and his Orchestra • Condition VG+
LSC 2201: Moussorgsky-Ravel Pictures at an Exhibition • Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Fritz Reiner, Conductor • Condition: VG+ to EX
LSC 2214: Dvorak Symphony No 5 In E Minor, Op. 95 ("From the New World") • Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Fritz Reiner, Conductor • Condition: VG+
LSC 2233: Beethoven Symphony No. 3, In E Flat, Op. 55 • Boston Symphony Orchestra; Charles Munch, Conductor • Condition: VG+
LSC 2234: Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 22; Franck Symphonic Variations • Artur Rubinstein, Piano • Symphony of the Air; Alfred Wallenstein, Conductor • Condition: VG+
Grading Scale: The grading scale I use is a standard variation of the Goldmine scale. It includes the grade EX, which indicates a NM record with light paper scuffs or other very minor flaws that do not interfere with sound quality. This standard scale is elaborated in detail by Weldon T. Toms at, among other places, http://www.dragondiscs.co.uk/record_grading.php
Here is an abbreviated version (for the vinyl only, for cover grades please consult the website above):
NM (Near Mint): This is highest grade I will assign to opened records. The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked. EX (Excellent):Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked. VG+ (Very Good Plus):Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean. VG (Very Good): Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible. There may be wear or deformation of the spindle hole. G, F, and P (Good, Fair, and Poor):I do not sell records in these conditions on eBay.

Refund Policy: I will do my best to make sure that you are fully satisfied with your purchase and that you enjoy your records! I will give a refund for the full purchase price (shipping not included) if the records do not meet your expectations. Records must be returned in original condition within 14 days to be eligible for a refund. Good communication via email is highly encouraged to ensure that everyone is satisfied with the transaction! Thanks for viewing my auction, and check my other auctions for many more records for sale!
