 • Other Info: This album has been released under no less than four different titles!  It was originally released in 1971 as “Almendra,” even though none of that band’s members, besides Spinetta himself, appeared on this album.  It then got reissued the following year as La Búsqueda de la Estrella.  The self-titled release that I’m offering (housed in a textured cover), followed in 1976.   Finally, in 1993, the album was released under the title that Spinetta has originally wanted to use: Spinettalandia y sus Amigos.  After this record, Spinetta formed the influential band Pescado Rabioso.  For Luis Alberto Spinetta’s A 18' del Sol LP, see my other listings.
