LUKE & THE APOSTLES-45-“Been Burnt” b/w “Don’t Know Why”-Bounty Records #B-45105-Super-RARE USA DJ ISSUE-MONSTER-DEADLY-KILLER 1967 Toronto, Canada Garage-Punk. Real TOP 5 KILLER!! Holy Grail Heaven!!! A side is a CRUSHER-Has a sound with parallels to the PNW sound-kinda like Mr. Lucky & The Gamblers, Sonics, Wailers, Rocky & The Riddlers...Great powerful, gutteral Eric Burdon-ish lead vocal, guitar/organ dominated, with a KILLER Yardbirds double-time rave-up lead guitar break. B side is of a similar nature, more of a blues-ish type tempo with guitar/organ dominating, with a great lead guitar punctuation throughout the track. Super KILLER and Super RARE Toronto punker...on the same high scale as other Canadian icons like the Ugly Ducklings and Haunted. Produced by West Coast studio wizard and icon Paul Rothchild. Condition: Record is somewhere between VG+ and MINT-Minus...some light wear on outer edge of A side...Near BEAUTIFUL copy...
