Artist: Lyn Christopher ---- Title: S/T ---- Label: EMI / Paramount (UK) ---- Year: 1973 ---- Condition (Vinyl/Sleeve): VG+ / VG+ ---- All items are original issues unless otherwise stated. Description: Massively in-demand set from the absolutely gorgeous Ms Christopher (anyone got a current pic?!). Hugely in-demand among hiphop headz for the Dusty Fingers groove ‘Take Me With You’ (as featured on Dusty Fingers Vol 3). Wicked, wicked tune. This LP is sometimes dismissed as a one-tracker, but after having a good listen, I think it’s actually pretty solid in a pop/funk kind of way. ‘Celebrate II’ has a nice Mandingo-esque intro and ‘Billy Come Down’ has a decent groove to it as well. This LP is often snatched up for another reason, that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley sang backing vocals on this LP and used the money to fund studio time for a little band they had formed called KISS!!
