In 1975 Lynyrd Skynyrd released their third album, “Nuthin’ Fancy,” which became their third straight gold album, and began “The Torture Tour” which saw them tour the UK for the first time, with the group Golden Earring. This set was recorded at the Capital Theatre in Cardiff Wales, UK November 4-6, 1975. During this time the band began to see a number of changes in the lineup. Bob Burns left the band and was replaced by Artimus Pyle. Ed King left and was replaced by Steve Gaines. This album was recorded just before Steve Gaines joined Lynyrd Skynyrd but just after Ed King left which left the band with only two of their three guitarists leaving some solos sounding a bit empty. The song line up, the performance, musicianship, mix, and overall sound quality on this double LP (three sides) from the band's 1975 European tour is really phenomenal.

Note: The announcement sheet (pictured) lists these songs as recorded in London, England. This is incorrect. The songs were recorded in Wales. Side one of this recording begins with the bands introduction:

“Good evening Cardiff. We have a very, very warm Welsh welcome, from America, the Lynyrd Skynyrd group”

LPs are Near Mint (NM). I would say these are close to mint.

Goldmine Magazine's rating systems for records:

w        Mint (M) - Perfect record and cover. Not sure if that is possible even with a sealed record when mailing is involved.

w        Near Mint (NM) - A few flaws to the look of the record that in no way affect the sound of the record

w        Very Good + (VG+) – This will show signs of some play but handled with care. Some minor scuffs or scratches are possible but will not affect the records play. Slight warping is possible but once again this will not affect play. Slight ring wear on cover and sleeve possible. Sleeve will show minor signs of age. But for a couple minor problems these albums would be NM.

w        Very Good (VG) - This record look like it has been played. Luster isn't as good and maybe a few scratches on the surface of the vinyl, for example. Some surface noise is possible.

w        Good (G) - Still plays but has seen better days. Great for filling in the holes of your collection.

w        Fair (F) - With one of these you can at least say you have it!
