PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
WILDLY RARE original Ken Perry mastered Pinckneyville first state gatefold first pressing on MCA's tan fade label from October 17, 1977 with F12/F7 matrix suffixes etched in the dead wax, respectively, on sides one and two, original glossy double-sided black & white merchandise order form insert sheet, original glossy red & white double-sided credit sheet insert, original die-cut company inner sleeve and original uncensored flame cover that was withdrawn shortly after the album's release following a plane crash that tragically claimed the lives of three band members in 1977. Subsequent pressings featured the band with a plain black background and NO flames. LP is VG++ with a small scuffs on I Never Dreamed. Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and beautiful with a hint of wear on the tip of the top left hand corner where there is a small opening in the cellophane. Even has the original $4.48 Midwest Stereo (R.I.P.) price sticker on the cellophane on the front cover with their Morse Street address in Rogers Park here in Chicago. A complete high grade first pressing with an uncensored cover and impeccable provenance that can be traced to exact point of purchase. THIS is what collecting is about.
