Up for auction is an original unopened 1st pressing of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors. As you may or may not know, three days after this album was released Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane crashed after a show in South Carolina. This cover, depicting the band members in flames, was immediately withdrawn and replaced with the much more common "black cover" (the picture on the reverse side of this album was moved to the front).
This is becoming very hard to find in this still-sealed state. The record is presumed to be mint - as it is still sealed - and the cover is NM. There are a couple of very tiny corner dings. The shrink is broken a bit along the bottom seam (see pic) but is 100% still sealed. There is remnants of a price tag and a few pieces of old Scotch tape that is not holding anything together (not sure what its purpose was). The reverse side has two "breathe holes" in the shrink. Inside are the inserts included with this pressing - the "survival kit" merch insert and the tour dates sheet.
All vinyl is conservatively graded under strong light.
Click here to see our Goldmine-based grading system. There is no such thing as a mint record. Near mint (NM) is our highest grade.
US residents - shipping is $4.00 per album, $1.00 per additional.
International residents - shipping is $20.00 per record, $5.00 per additional.
Combined invoices will be sent at the end of all auctions for the night.
