MCA Records (MCA-3029) album release from LYNYRD SKYNYRD of their classic Southern Rock album, STREET SURVIVORS. It features the rare gatefold original recalled "FLAMES" cover.
The rarity and collectability of a STILL SEALED first of this album is on the high end of the LYNYRD SKYNYRD wish list scale. This is a original and not a reissue, bootleg or non-US release. The thickness, construction and label logo's are all consistent with a first press, as well as, no bar-code. I don't believe that reissues with "Flame" covers even exist. Further, the shrink still has the original hand priced price sticker from BUCKWHEAT MUSIC still affixed. It lists two locations which would be correct for 1977. The Georgia store incorporated and added a third store in 1978 but still only had the two in 1977 when this was released. The store sticker pretty much excludes the chance of it being a reseal (they are out there!).
You may not wish to open it but if you do you should expect to find the MCA beige and brown label Survival Kit inserts. And, a beautiful 100% analogue record! We would expect a MINT record but as there is no way to inspect it, there is always a possibility there will be a few light sleeve storage scuffs.
You'll note that we have graded the jacket NM- even though STILL SEALED. It is a beauty that looks to have been well stored over the years but has a very slight amount of shrink ring wear and impressions (it's very, very minor). There is about a 2 1/2 x 2 inch piece of shrink missing on the front under the price sticker. You can see it with a close look at the scan. There is no adverse affect to the jacket or any substance let in under the shrink. There are a couple air holes and very small clean shrink tears (one on the spine and one lower right corner pokie).
Otherwise, no cut-outs - no dirt or excess wear - no writing - no aging - no mold or mildew - no moisture - no warping or jacket bends!
