Description
From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this fantastic piece of New Zealand rock history. La De Das. Ever Since That Night / Little Girl 45. New Zealand pressing. 1965. Talent City. TCS 2002. Record in Good Plus condition. There’s what appears to be a semi-circular crack (like someone has taken a bite of the record) on the edge. That section plays with clicks and noise for a few spins, then settles down. There’s also a deeper scratch across the beginning of Side Two that also clicks for a few spins then fades. It’s obviously been played, and played heaps, but it’s not trashed. And, as rare as this single is, do you really want to wait for a better one to turn up? Generic cardboard sleeve. BTW – for the record, I played this on my Linear Design GST 1, a hefty 70s turntable that’s guaranteed to pretty much play anything; I can’t predict if this would sound any different on a girly modern turntable (though it certainly wouldn’t sound any better). Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities including early Australian and NZ pressings including test pressings and acetates, UK punk, The Smiths 12 inch singles, original French pressings of 60s R&B including an ultra-rare Shirelles on Vogue, US psychedelic, and a whole lot more.
