One of the eeriest records I've ever listened to, this obscure LP is one of the very highest masterpieces of French folk-prog.
The style reminds of ALAN STIVELL, MALICORNE, RIPAILLE, DAN AR BRAZ or AMAZING BLONDEL, typically French and
medieval, but the sound and atmospheres are closer to the apocalyptic tones of UNIVERS ZERO or ART ZOYD. Actually the
one band I would compare it to is SHUB-NIGGURATH: unsettling choirs, very percussive (at times), pluricompound rhythms,
a witful and repetitive use of piano and brass instruments, both epic and resigned mood. The music is very imaginific, bringing
to mind thoughts of declining kingdoms and far rememberings of ancient glory. The impressive predominancy of vacuums and
the emotional charge of the music even recall me of later TALK TALK.
