Lacewing - self titled LP psych rock 1971 RARE PROMO Mainstream S/6132 EX Kent Ohio
vinyl is excellent and plays great throughout RARE WHITE LABEL PROMO no writing on labels plain paper inner sleeve vinyl is in much better condition than the jacket jacket is firm bottom seem has 2 inch split at the opening and wear surface wear single stray pen mark on back spine has damage and only partially readable
Lacewing were from Kent, Ohio and evolved from The Measles, who at one time included the pre-James Gang Joe Walsh. When they signed their record deal with Mainstream, the producers felt they needed a hipper, more progressive name, which is where Lacewing came from. After this LP and its accompanying single (neither of which sold a flip), they reverted to The Measles moniker. Style bounces around among folk-rock, dreamy stoner psych, fuzzy progressive. Female lead vocals by Mary Sterpka, who did background vocals on some James Gang tracks. Rare white label Mainstream stereo promo.
