I have bought many LP's from E-bay and know how annoying it is to get an LP that was described as Ex+ or Near Mint only to find it battered to death and only good for the bin.  Therefore, I will do my best to accurately describe this LP.  In general I go along with the recognised Record Collector gradings as shown below but I will always err on the side of caution so what I grade as Excellent + would often be classed as Near Mint by some sellers. 

I will clean all used LP's on my record cleaning machine so it will be as clean as possible when it reaches you. 

If, once you have received your LP, you feel I misrepresented the item please get in touch and I will accept a return.  I have listened to all of the second hand LP's but it could be some time since I listened to it all the way through so I will listen to a couple of tracks prior to listing to get an idea of current playing quality.  However, there may be a flaw that is not visually apparent on a track I didn't listen to and I will go by the buyer's verdict if it results in the LP not matching the grading I have given it.

Please note:  Please insure your item against loss in the post.  In the UK you are automatically covered up to £36, anything over this you must insure or accept responsibility should the item be lost in the post.  Overseas I cannot be responsible once the item has been posted.  I will always get a receipt to prove I have posted it but to cover the value should it be lost you must insure it or accept responsibility.

This LP's grading is:

Cover - EX+  Srong spine, no ceases.  Gatefold  

Inner sleeve - Plain white inners.

Vinyl - EX.  I have played a few tracks and I'd grade as EX.  Prior to despatching I will clean on my cleaning machine.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.

As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
