Original UK EP released in 1959 on the Tri-centre Mauve & Silver London Label. Cat: RE-U 1213. Super rare only EP by one of the founding fathers of R&B & Rock N Roll...
A rough, rowdy rock & roll singer, Larry Williams had several hits in the late '50s, several of which "Bony Maroney," "Dizzy, Miss Lizzy," "Short Fat Fannie," "Bad Boy," "She Said Yeah" became genuine rock & roll classics and were recorded by British Invasion groups; John Lennon, in particular, was a fan of Williams, recording several of his songs over the course of his career.
These singles are part of a lovely collection of original English 45's brought to Australia over 30 years ago when an English couple migrated to Australia. An avid music fan this gentleman followed many of the bands in the day from the late 50's through the 60's seeing everyone from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Animals, Yardbirds, Bo Diddley, Gene Vincent just to name a few. These singles are a great representation of his passion for rock N roll and the many artists who were playing at the time. Most of them are still with original record company paper sleeves and are all in amazing condition considering they are over 50 years old!! I look forward to listening and listing them for you over the next month...
Tracks : I was a fool/ Peaches and cream/ Hootchy-koo/ The dummy. Labels are lovely and clean. Record has a few light scuff marks, there are one or two light crackles at the start of each side. Record plays in Excellent condition. Cover has light ring wear, a small light surface tear on back left centre edge and a few light marks. All seams are fully intact with no tearing. Cover is in VG++ condition.Payment is accepted by Credit Card or Paypal. Within Australia we prefer Direct deposit transfer.
