Description

Prestige PRLP121. Material heard from Metronome in Sweden. 4 tracks by Lars Gullin with Hallberg, piano; Gunner Almstedt, bass; Jack Noren, drums; Gullin, baritone sax from 1951, Stockholm. 4 tracks by Bengt Hallberg, piano; Gunnar Almstedt, bass; Anders Burman, drums. 1951, Stockholm. Cover: Mint(-). Intact in fine condition. Light aging on the back cover. Record: VG+ or better. Visually shows no wear. The record shows no marking. Probably played a few times. There are more audible crackling on the Hallberg side. These seem mainly on the first 2 tracks and gradually decrease. The Gullin side has almost no surface noise. Just an occasional click. Fine sound particularly on the Gullin side. Difficult to grade because of the audible noise described. I have given it an overall rating. A couple tracks might be considered VG but this is the best overall rating I can determine. Some of the surface sound is from the rather average quality of Prestige’s 10” records. Audibly checked.
