Review:
“La Lupe was a popular singer in New York's Latin music scene of the 1960s. She is featured on five of the nine selections, showing lots of spirit along with an appealing voice. In addition, there are four strong instrumentals, and even the vocal pieces have spots for the instrumentalists. It is particularly interesting to hear the difference between the two trumpet players (Marty Sheller and Chocolate Armenteros), along with the fine reed solos from Pat Patrick (Sun Ra's baritonist who was on vacation from the Arkestra at the time) and Bobby Capers, who alternate between various saxophones and flutes. An excellent set of stirring Afro-Cuban jazz.”

Condition:
DISC: EXCELLENT with 100% of original brilliant gloss. Played sparingly, one or two times at most - and handled with care. Possibly unplayed. Playing surfaces are immaculate. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean with no spindle trail marks. A rare item, and this one is a beauty!
JACKET: EXCELLENT with clean and bright panels – still contained in the original loose plastic baggie. There is a small bend at the top left corner, which has also caused a small chipping at that area (approximately one inch). No writing, stickers, or cutout/deletion marks. Overall a fine jacket to accompany the superb disc. You will be extremely hard pressed to find another example this nice!
