Description
For sale is Laura Nyro and Labelle's Gonna Take A Miracle, originally released in 1971 by Columbia Records with a canvas-like textured cover. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers 1-B/4-E, followed by a stamped "Mastered by Frankfort/Wayne Phil", indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition that was mastered at Frankfort Wayne Mastering Labs, Philadelphia which was associated with Sigma Sounds Studio, where this was recorded.These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner blunts and rubs, ring wear and a seam split on the top of the cover. The spine has color loss from shelf rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of faint sleeve marks and some minor surface scratches. I'm play grading it as VG+ because of low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet sections. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find album that I have ever seen or heard. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Folk records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look.
