Description
Available here is an EXC copy of a very unique, collectible DOUBLE LP from Laurie Anderson / William S. Burroughs / John Giorno:
"You're The Guy I Want To Share My Money With", released in 1981 by Giorno Poetry Systems Records (GPS 021-022).
This LP was recorded during the trio's "Red Night" spoken word tour of 1981. The album was funded in part by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Most of Anderson's material came from her performance piece, United States, and live versions of some tracks, such as "It Was Up in the Mountains", would also be included in her later 4-LP release, United States Live. This was Anderson's first substantial album release (previously she hdad only contributed a track or two), and she followed this in 1982 with her first full solo album, Big Science.
This vinyl is EXC; no scratches and minimal markings across the four sides, high gloss. The gatefold cover is also VG+; partial seam splits (3 1/2" and 1") on bottom, a little staining inside, no other issues of note, normal age wear. Plain paper liners. Both labels are clean and complete.
