Another great single from the wonderful Lavern Baker, this one from 1957
Please note. I do not give my records an overall grade. I try to be as descriptive as possible about the record, and leave potential buyer's to make up their own mind. The vast majority of records i am selling have a sound quality of Excellent or better. So, if you prefer to look at your records rather than play them then none of my items are for you. If, however, you are more interested in sound quality than what a record looks like then it's worth reading on.
This particular record still retains a sheen, but viewing it under a 60W light bulb there are lots of scratches & scuffs on both sides of vinyl. These all appear light though, certainly nothing heavy or malicious.
As far as sound quality is concerned this still plays lovely with just the lightest of background noise in places and the odd 'light crackle' here & there.
Please note though, i have only play graded the 'A' side.
Both labels are clean with no rips, tears or writing on & all text is easily readable, however, there is 'spindle' wear to both sides, more so to the 'A' side (see pic).
Overall, this is still a decent record. The vinyl may look far from new, but it still has a decent sound quality for a 53 year old record.
All Lavern Baker singles are highly collectable, and though this single is far from 'mint' it will still be a very acceptable copy to most people and at a starting price of 99p. i've gotta be 'avin a larf. Don't worry, they'll be taking me away soon !!!

This record will be sent with it’s relevant company sleeve. The sleeve may be good, it may be not so good. Pot Luck's the name of the game as far as company sleeves are concerned
I have now had to put a postage charge of £1.99 for my records. This charge stays the same whether you were to buy 1 or 10 of my records. It is 1st Cass (Signed for) and it covers me against possible buyer's who claim items have not been received when, in fact, they have. To offset this cost i have now lowered my starting price from £1.99 to £0.99p. I am not a Dealer so I am not out to make a fortune, just to give still decent records decent new homes where they will be appreciated.
