An astonishing find....an archived copy of LOA...This baby has literally been archived since 1963!!
Matrix A7/B6M. "Recording 1st published 1963" with No 'Sold In UK Statement...Includes original flipback 'patents pending' mono cover. PYE inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful untouched condition...if only every sixties LP surfaced looking this darn good! Under close inspection we are struggling to find any evidence of use at all - no markings no evidence around the spindle hole etc etc. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Instrumentation is perfectly resolved..you will hear everything down to the lowliest tinkle of a triangle in the background. I have certainly never witnessed LOA sounding quite this good. Top level transparency and it really enables you to hear deep deep into the mix. Interference is practically non-existent. We did detect the odd light crackle in the occasional place, but it is very very minor and infrequent. A further couple of plays is likely to eek out the maximum performance from this disc because it is so well preserved. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex+) Stunning condition and almost breathtaking when you hold one these time-capsule covers. The only way an LP can have survived looking like this is for it to have been archived for 55 years. The front is shiny looking and borderline immaculate but for a slight crease in the bottom-right corner. The rear, which so often ages, is totally pristine white. No markings of any kind and all flipbacks are all secure and tight. Edge wear is non-existent and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and the corners pointed. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. FINAL UPGRADE.
