Description
This is the Metropolitan Opera MET Le Nozza di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This is the Historical Recording of the December 7, 1940 broadcast. Complete with 2 LPs with libretto and a large separate booklet of notes, RCA Soria Series pressing in a deluxe off-white velvet-covered slipcase.
Cast includes John Brownlee, Elisabeth Rethberg, Licia Albanese, Ezio Pinza, Jarmila Novantna, Irra Petina, Alessio De Paolis, George Rasely, Salvatore Baccaloni, Louis D'Angelo, Marita Farell, Helen Olheim and Maxine Stellman.
This set was never sold commercially, and was available only to Metropolitan Opera subscribers who donated $125 or more. Quite rare. Vinyl VG to NM. Cover G The Cover has some fadding and shelfware.
