Notes: Guaranteed original press. 5-disc album. This particular copy has some extra historical value, in that it was the personal copy of Fred Gerlach, who wrote his name "Fred" on the cover. Gerlach learned the song "The Gallis Pole" from this very copy, and recorded his own version. Fred's version was, in turn, heard by Jimmy Page, who was inspired by it to create Led Zeppelin's version. So, in a sense, you could say that this particular copy of Lead Belly is responsible for the Zep version of "Gallows Pole!" For context, here's an excerpt from a radio interview with Fred where he discusses his first encounter with Lead Belly on 78:

Visual grade: The covers of the album are both fully detached, but this could be repaired by someone qualified to do so. Discs have full gloss and only very minor paper marks- almost good as new. Unfortunately the "Fannin Street" disc does have a full radial crack on one side, that doesn't go thru to the other side of the disc, so it should still hold together and play OK if you're careful with it.
