Because this is such a superb copy I am not prepared to sell it for less than £1,000. Inferior copies to this stunning example have recently sold for more than this on eBay.
Led Zeppelin 1. Turquoise. 1st label. A//1, B//1, NMINT. Superhype etc. Grey line at bottom of sleeve. MacNeill Press Ltd credit on rear of sleeve. Sounds superb with no major audible faults. A few very, very light paper marks on the vinyl (only seen via a very strong light) and a few spindle marks on the label. Sleeve is in superb crisp condition, maybe just a couple of very, very light creases near the spine if you were being picky and a very light one on the front which the previous owner says was there from new (couldn't get it to show up on a photo). Overall I would grade the record and sleeve as Near Mint or in Record Collector grading EX+ (although I prefer Near Mint or even Mint-). I have sold tens of thousands of records as my 100% feedback suggests and I tend to understate the condition of the records so that the buyer is not disappointed. I would be surprised if a better copy has sold on eBay.
I bought this record 4 years ago from a collector of 1st issue rock music who bought this from new in 1969 along with about 70 other albums from that era. He was incredibly careful with their storage and probably only played them about 4 or 5 times. In the 4 years I have had this album I have played it just the once a few days ago on high-end equipment to record and archive it to DVD-A 24bit 192 kHz. I am now selling these records as I archive them as DVD-A is of such a high quality I never need to play the record again with the potential risk, however small, of damaging the vinyl.
