Description
Here for sale is a first press Led Zepplin LP with Turquoise print cover. These are very rare as they were pulled from the shelves after a couple of weeks and replaced with the orange edition.
THIS FIRST PRESSING FEATURING A PUBLISHING CREDIT TO SUPERHYPE MUSIC. IT HAS THE INCORRECT NUMBERING IN THE PUBLISHING CREDITS 1,2,4,SUPERHYPE MUSIC, 3, JEWEL MUSIC. THE SECOND PRESS CORRECTED IT TO WARNER BROS. IT HAS THE CORRECTED MATRIX 588171 (which is odd as the matrix is actually correct on it prior to correcting.)
THE AUTHENTIC INNER POLYLINED COVER IS CORRECT WITH THE PATENT, 800513 973939.
The LP itself is probably a very good plus, there are a few light surface marks and visible marks but not deep ones you can really feel, to my untrained ears the record plays really nicely, there doesn’t seem to be any skips or jumps on either side other than one split second one on one song, there doesn’t seem to be any background noise noticeable. I would say though that I’m no expert and listening through a fairly cheap record player with built in speakers, so please don’t expect it to be near mint perfect as this is a 50 year old vinyl.
The cover is probably very good plus/excellent. There are some light marks on it, some slight lifting on the laminate in one corner and a slight scuff by the title but otherwise in very nice condition, the original inner sleeve is present and intact as well.
