Here is a REAL RARITY and TRULY a “MUST HAVE LP” for Zep fans and vinyl collectors!

It is a STEREO PRESSING that was released in 1969.

It is, INDEED, a REAL RARITY LP, because this record has PURPLE & BROWN ATLANTIC RECORDS LABELS that Goldmine states is a “possible mispress with purple and brown labels”. I understand that it, in fact, IS a mispressing with the wrong color labels used.

I read somewhere that this LP has a slightly different mix than the later pressings, and the "pause" between “Black Mountain Side” and “Communication Breakdown” is longer.

The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. Both front and rear slicks have very light wear and are quite clean (as you can see in the images). The primarily white front cover looks GREAT!!! There is some “balding” on the corners at the top and bottom of the spine and on the corner at the bottom of the opening. There are 2 small “pushes”, one on the corner at the bottom of the spine and the other at the top of the opening. There are NO seam splits, NO writing, NO ring wear and NO tears on the cover.

The VINYL is in GOOD or GOOD+ to maybe BORDERLINE or WEAK SIDE OF VERY GOOD CONDITION. There are numerous hairlines and scuffs but none that I could feel with my fingertips. Nevertheless, there will be some degree of light to moderate surface noise. The vinyl has nice gloss. There is a little bit more wear on the Side 1 label when compared to the Side 2 label. The vinyl does have an EDGE WARP. It doesn’t affect Side 1 tracking, But it does affect Side 2 tracking at the very beginning of the first track on that side, as the stylus tends to jump/skip a revolution (or 2) due to the wobble. (I tracked it at ½ gram on my Technics direct-drive turntable. I didn’t try heavier weight like 1 gram, though.) Maybe the high bidder has a good remedy to address this edge warp. If not, the LP can be retired and framed!!! (Personally, I don’t think folks buy a rare mispressing to continually play it.)
However, it IS DEFINITELY a tough LP to find these days in ANY condition!
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (P for Poor, F for Fair, G for Good, G+ for Good Plus, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP (unless I stated that I played it or a portion of it), so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
