Description
Led Zeppelin 2 (II) LP - Different cover - German original 92 508. Features an early live shot of the band and is entitled 'Led Zeppelin' as opposed to 'Led Zeppelin II' (both on the outer sleeve and the record labels).
Vinyl: The disc has been carefully cleaned and playtested. Side 1 has some marks but plays well apart from one minor skip (more of a 'click') towards the end of 'Whole Lotta Love', and two minor skips during 'What Is and What Should Never Be', one near the beginning and one near the end. The rest of the album plays through without any skips, but with some background noise in the quieter sections and also some clicks, though not throughout. Side 2 plays more cleanly than side1.
Inner Sleeve: Very good, clean with no marks.
Outer sleeve: The laminated sleeve has been carefully cleaned. On the front, there is a small section missing on the right and some minor tearing and marks to the reverse of the sleeve. see photos. There is also some edgewear. All this can be clearly seen in the photos. The sleeve is still very much together and will be sent in its own plastic cover.
In conclusion, though this is not a perfect copy, it is the ORIGINAL 1972 S R International (Atlantic, Germany) release, and is not to be confused with the recent re-issues of this version (they have pale red labels as opposed to the deep red of this original and the 'S R International' and 'Atlantic' logos on the front cover are a paler blue than this original).
Far more than just a collection filler, still a very good listen, and also an extremely scarce original copy (the only one I've seen to date).
