There are not many examples of this pressing in such clean condition as this one, a real collectors piece and a great future investment - who doesn't love Led Zep??
This is one of 3 rare records I am listing from my collection, Eagles of Death Metal (US Original Pink Vinyl) and Beatles White Album (DMM White Coloured Vinyl) being the others. I will only accept offers close to the asking price and if they don't sell in the first month I will gladly put them back in my collection permanently. I don't listen to them very often and the funds could be put to better use (so I'm told...).
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG+ Truly fantastic condition and machine cleaned when I purchased it. It is bordering on Near Mint but I don't want to over sell it due to it being such a sought after collectors piece. There are a few whisper paper marks and light grazes no deep scratches or other defects a collectors dream. Those iconic plum labels are in beautiful condition with just a few expected spindle marks under a bright light.
Record Audio - VG+ Again I am being cautious here due to the importance of the record. There is only minimal surface noise on run in and in between tracks. The sound quality is fantastic, far far superior to other pressings I've heard and widely regarded that only the "classic" label re-issue compares. Big deep rich sound you will want to keep cranking up.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Considering this is nearly 50 years old the sleeve is in remarkable condition. There is some shelf wear on the opening edge but the spine and other edges are excellent. The front cover doesn't suffer from the usual discolouration and there is no visible ring wear. The spindle wheel is present and in fully working order. There is a little bit ring wear visible on the inside gatefold and a little bit of dirt in the gatefold join. There are no defects, damage or pen marks - a great example. The record is stored in a fresh white sleeve and has the nice touch of the original sleeve also which is a little wrinkled and worn as expected after 50 years.
