For sale is the 4 LP. set pressed by Classic Records in 1997. I purchased this set in 1999 from Classic Records direct and am the original owner. It's no secret  that in my opinion from late 1968 to the end of 1973 Led Zeppelin was the greatest rock band in the  history of  rock music. Sorry Beatles fans the Beatles were except for some late album tracks were a pop music band 29 #1 hits and all. And forget the Stones I saw them live 3 times but they were not even the greatest rock band of any decade. From 68-73 Zeppelin was the greatest live act ever and I saw most of the great bands from that era >After 73 though even with Physical Graffiti and Presence and In through the out door yet to be recorded the bands live concerts became more uneven and ragged and sometimes uninspired .Due to increased drug and alcohol dependance. I felt lucky to be in the right place and the right time to witness this phenomenon 4 times, and it was awe inspiring , The box set from the BBC was recorded from twice in 1969 and a full concert from London to a select audience in 1971.The highlights of the 1969 performances Communication Breakdown a raw and vicious version typical of the way it was done on the road, a 12 minute track of How Many More Times and the highlight of the first LPs a version of Robert Johnson's Travelling Riverside Blues. Disc and disc 4are from 1971 and they back to the BBC 0ne final time at the Paris Studios in London in april 1971 which was a preview of their 71 European and American and Japanese tour. Introducing cuts from a newly recorded LP with no title known as Led Zeppelin IV Or SOSO the greatest rock recording of all time. Tracks like , Black Dog , Going To California , and a Stairway To Heaven. Throw in a early Whole Lotta Love Medley new for the 71 tour. But my feeling the Tour De Force is the scintillating finale of Thank You the best version and best guitar sosl of this song ever put to vinyl .Contrary to the popular belief this recordings were done from the original analogue master tapes by Jimmy Page these were not digital source LPs.
