Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy
(Atlantic K50014 UK LP 1973)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a heavyweight matt gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original printed lyric inner sleeve. This is printed on thick textured paper. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has dark green & orange "Atlantic" labels. These do not have any printed label text around the upper perimeter. This is the green part of the labels. There in no "WEA" logo on the labels either. Both labels have the "Superhype Publishing" credit too.
The record has 1st press A2/ B2 matrix stampers. "STERLING" is machine stamped in the dead wax on both sides. This is the very earliest UK pressing which has the "Superhype" label credit, no label text around the upper perimeter (green part) of the label, and which has "STERLING" etched in the dead wax on both sides. These are not that common.
Gatfeold Sleeve: There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the bottom edges on some areas. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the top edges on a few areas. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not that noticeable. There is some light or very mild ringwear on some areas. The spine is in very nice condition. Overall, Very Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are a few areas of more moderate sleeve rubs too. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. There is one light 2.5 cm hairline mark. Overall, Good++ condition. Not too far from being in VG condition. The labels are in near excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear. The lyric inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light or very mild ringwear & fading. There is some minor staining on a few areas. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a very few light clicks on two separate tracks on Side 1. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.
I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper inner sleeve. This will protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during transit.
