OOP Classic Records 200 gram Quiex vinyl pressing of Led Zeppelin's fifth classic album from 1973. This copy of Houses Of The Holy is in near mint condition throughout. Vinyl is pristine as is the cover and inner sleeve. I have played this record once and that's it. As the photograph shows comes with the original Classic Records thick cellophane protective cover.
There are two comments I would like to add. Firstly the new digitally remastered vinyl is excellent, particularly in terms of value for money. Does that render these sought after Classic Records pressings obsolete? Hardly. This is quite simply one of the best sounding versions of Houses Of The Holy available on vinyl. It is all analogue with superb mastering. The sound from this record is astounding.
Secondly, normally it would be nicer to obtain a sealed copy of this record and it is true that sealed copies command higher prices but when it comes to Classic Records this makes little sense. Unless you are a collector who stores away sealed copies. Simple reason - Classic Records quality control was often poor and return rates were high for non-fill issues, scratches and pops, lots of surface noise etc. But... when they are good they are superb. No argument. This one is good. It has been play tested. Imagine storing away a sealed copy, finally cracking it open and finding it sounds lousy. A real possibility for sealed Classic Records pressings!
Low start for another fine chunk of Zeppelin vinyl.
Please note - just noticed in the photograph of the inner gatefold there seems to be some sort of whitish line towards the bottom of the spine. I can assure all bidders that this is a photographic artefact! There is no damage whatsoever to the inner gatefold. It is pristine.
