Description

CURRENTLY RUNNING AN ADDITIONAL "3 DAY DELAY" ON DISPATCH [i.e 3Ds+3Ds]

An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B2 - 1st cut. Etchings 'RL Sterling'. We would estimate that, although this copy exhibits the 1st cut matrix, it most likely comes from toward the end of the 1st issue period [end of the period in the charts]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original MacNeill textured inner sleeve. So, that's 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Vg+) In great condition and has only seen a light to moderate level of use. Do expect a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are mostly quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. A pretty solid player, perhaps not suitable for someone uber fussy, but more than respectable. By and large a very decent rendition, but expect a few crackles in the odd place. The only track where it vaguely starts to interfere is in 'RAIN' the notoriously low-key track. It's really invasive, but it does exhibit a few more crackles than one would like. That's really the only vaguely disappointing track. Other than expect a very decent rendition of this Zep classic.
Cover (Vg+) Again, very solid standard with no worrying faults. Clean front and back showing only light handling. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is pretty light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is in excellent order. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. A bit of ageing and one date stamp toward the top of one side.
