Excellent  UK A2 B2 RL Sterling  1973 UK press to buy and keep

very clean `Excellent ` vinyl age 53 near impossible to find but here it is....only light surface at intros and quieter passages.

Its not a perfect or near mint or record store new,  its a used and cared for 53 year old copy.

Please note that this album is complete and original 1973 UK pressing and is sold for its rarity rather than for its condition

Led Zeppelins 5th Studio March 73 recording followed their huge success in USA and Europe and expended their diverse catalogue of songs, Dancing Days , No Quarter , Song remains the same are all here classic tracks from the worlds greatest band of this era. Their successful UK 72/73 tour had just ended and the band were in top form.

This was recorded at Stargroves during 72 on the Rolling Stones mobile unit engineered by Eddie Kramer produced by Jimmy Page, also at Olympic studios London and Electric Lady studios New York during their US tour in 72.  

The new material was performed and well received during the UK tour prior to release. 

 Another classic sleeve by Hipgnosis was free of Atlantic logos and writing as the band had made their point.

A2 B2 very first matrixes!

In Ex  condition with some light surface lines only, removal scuffs from sleeve removal over the years.,no jumps or sticks on our Rega 3 bear in mind this is a 53 year old vinyl record! we also tested on a fussy "light tracking" Kenwood deck with no issues.

very clear audio quality in the acoustic tracks with no skips or jumps to disrupt.

There is only faint pops in some quieter passages and intros but not many.

This is a used 53 year old vinyl.

Nice fat pre oil crisis 70s vinyl wow ! nice flat and fat.

Plays fantastic with bright crisp sound may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static is noticeable in the quieter passages but not many of those!

The labels are free of writing doodles or stickers and retain great bold colours with no fade we can notice under light., the pictures do not do justice! they are very very clean with few spindle lines.

Vault stored many years.

Excellent sleeve

Having done it's job over 53 years the sleeve has very little wear to corners (see photos) stored in upright PVC sleeve for 30+ years.

Has moderate surface storage rubbing , corners in good order see photos.

 It is one of the better "original sleeves" it does rubbing andbringwear see photos, 4 good corners,

Overall its an excellent sleeve with slight wear

Atlantic were famously unhappy with the "no text" outer sleeve , text was added later Peter Grant got wind of it so again ....collectable its ex plus.

(see photo in listing) really great order no issues, rips, stickers or writing.

There are no seam splits , colours are good and zero fading, the thick card has held up well, spine shows only normal storage  wear.

The inner with "complete " lyrics is present wow! soo difficult to get clean and not battered, its a very clean inner ex.

Hard to find these in this condition.

inner sleeve is in ex order light handling at the opening side see pictures, normally these are old and fragile now (see photos in listing) no tape or writing on the inner sleeve

These are often tatty and dirty beyond help but on this one its in Ex condition and an original from its uk release date in 1973

This is a great buy for someone looking for a wholly original 1st press of this great album (its an Ex vinyl copy)

It is mint in most places, only a tick here and there, no skips or jumps and beautiful audio mint copies are almost impossible now sometimes £200+!

This is a great copy to own and play! "EXCELLENT " our "fully audio tested" grading.
