Description

An original 1st press on FRENCH Atlantic. Matrix A/B. Pressed by MPO. Note how at 1st issue they managed to call the album "House of The Holy". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. I never seem to find these French copies with the lyric inner - I presume they must have had one...but they never seem to turn up.
Vinyl (Ex) A lovely copy and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can't make out more than a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens play really nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean into all the quiet moments too like No QTR & Rain - and these are pretty fussy tracks. Expect nothing more than a few low-level crackles in one isolated moment per side. The French 1st press always did manage great playback. Get a well preserved copy like this and you're onto a winner!
Cover (Vg+) Very nice clean surfaces front and rear. Two things to note. Firstly, on the front - there's a small sticker removal mark top right. We've coloured it in in a sympathetic orange - don't miss that! On the rear the catalogue number has been written in the top right corner. Relatively little surface wear for this title. Relatively little edge wear and nice sharp firm openings. The spine looks really nice with minimal wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
