Description

HOTH a 1st issue from 1973 on UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling' - indicating that this is the Robert Ludwig cut. Remember that labels which show the WB logo in the perimeter text are later copies - this pressing is most definitely 1973. The LP comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve with lyrics. 100% complete and 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex+) Remains in superb condition and has only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of ultra light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and you really need this on HOTH because a lot of the music is low-key. The audio comes across with perfect clarity and barely any interference at all. We only detected a touch of ultra-light static at the intro to RAIN & NO QTR, but even this is very very minor. The audio quality is excellent, in fact absolutely superb, and would be a struggle to better.
Cover (Ex+) Wowzers it really is unusual to find this LP in this kind of condition. There's almost a newish feel to it. Handling wear is super light - just a very faint amount on the front - other than that very little at all. The interior is perfect and the openings are still sharp! Edge wear is almost non-existent and the spine is perfectly intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. Difficult ...so so difficult to find like this.
Inner (Ex+) No splits. Nearly always has some level of ageing - not here - pretty much perfect. A real stunner.
