Description

HOTH a 1st press from 1973 on UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B2. Etching 'RL Sterling' - indicating that this is the Robert Ludwig cut. Remember that labels which show the WB logo in the perimeter text are later copies - this pressing is most definitely 1973 - the 1st cut! The LP comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve with lyrics. 100% complete and 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Remains in superb condition and has only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and you really need this on HOTH because a lot of the music is low-key. The audio comes across with great clarity and minimal interference. We only detected a touch of static in a few places e.g. NO QTR, but even this is pretty minor. The audio quality really is excellent on these early pressings.
Cover (Vg+) A well preserved cover exhibiting only light handling wear. Just a touch front and back, but otherwise in very nice condition. The interior is perfect and there's a only a bit of edge wear. It has just worn through in one tiny section. The spine is exhibiting only light wear too - nice! Overall the cover retains great rigidity. 
Inner (Vg) No splits, but there's a few marks and a hifi sticker in the bottom left. Otherwise aok.
