This rare, highly sought after, collectible LED Zeppelin I album is in “Good” to “Good - minus“ condition. Please review all the photos and video to get the best idea of the condition of this album. Low reserve auction and Free Shipping!
There are scratches and scuffs on side one and at one part of the song, “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” there is a slight skip but the record continues to play through. (The video plays where the record skips.) Also, the label has a pea-sized dot marked with an ink pen and small ink mark.
On side two the scratches are more pronounced and l apparent both visually and audibly. There are no skips on side two. The record is flat with no warping.
The album cover and original paper sleeve are in “Very Good +” condition with slight ring wear and general shelf wear, but nice considering the age. This is a vice playing copy if you do not mind some crackling and is a cool record for your collection.
Label variant: (Atco) purple/brown Stereo labels that were only produced on Atlantic releases when pressed at RCA Records Pressing plant, Indianapolis. Some say these issues are "club" issues but no proof on release. Others feel that these were created from stock Atco labels to fill the need. "Club" or press error, a very rare label.
From bsnpubs: This label is rare and only appeared on a few titles from around 8130 to 8200. The Led Zeppelin album error commands premium prices, since not only is the label in error, but side 1 of the album is a different mix from the regular pressing.
Also side 2 does sound a little different from the standard issue. There is a long pause between "Black Mountain Side" and "Communication Breakdown", where the standard issue had no silence at all. And there is an unusually long silence between "Communication Breakdown" and "I Can't Quit You Baby", much longer than was on the standard issue.
The running time for B5, "How Many More Times" is listed on the back cover as 3:30, but actually plays 8:30.
For Variant 3, track B5, the song "How Many More Times" is banded in the vinyl to be two (2) tracks instead of one. Visually Side B appears to have 6 tracks but plays the standard 5. The second band of B5 is positioned at the beginning of the 'atmospheric' break in the song, at ~3:35.

On Feb-15-26 at 20:25:27 PST, seller added the following information:The video plays through what I described as a skip, but it may or may not not be considered a true skip. Primarily I hear a louder pop though those limited rotations. It is difficult for me to tell is there was any interruption on the recording during playback.
