This is the LP by Led Zeppelin "Led Zeppelin" Catalog# SD 8216 Atlantic Records 1969.

Jacket (Good)  Some corner and ring wear. Some spots and discolor. Some transparent tape on top/bottom seam for reinforcement. The spine is legible. No rips or tears. No writing or defacing. No seam splits on spine. Nice front cover image. White color on front has held up nicely for it's age.  Comes with protective plastic sleeve. 

Inner Sleeve/LP (Good) Original Atlantic catalog inner sleeve. White labels. Not for sale has been marked out.  Vinyl has some blemishes and scratches. There is crackling here and there throughout, but it does not kill the music. I listened to this with headphones and the crackling was not overbearing.  Side one plays a bit under what I would consider VG, where as side two often plays a bit better than VG.  There were NO skips, repeats on any of the tracks.

NOTE** I may be under-grading this as  just a bit, but I would prefer to do that than the other way around.

Of interest:    The album was advertised in selected music papers under the slogan "Led Zeppelin – the only way to fly".  It initially received poor reviews. In a stinging assessment, Rolling Stone magazine asserted that the band offered "little that its twin, the Jeff Beck Group, didn't say as well or better three months ago … It would seem that if they are to fill the void created by the demise of Cream, they will have to find a producer, editor and some material worthy of their collective talents." It also called Plant "as foppish as Rod Stewart, but nowhere near so exciting". (wiki) 

****SALEM ATTIC NOTES**** All records are inspected beforehand.  If they need a cleaning I do so. I use a spin clean system, that does a good job. Sometimes it does not get out the real tough stuff, so I do that by hand if need be. I always recommend that when you get your record you give it a quick clean with your preferred method or at least with some rubbing alcohol and a cloth. A record can never be too clean!  I check the vinyl for scratches, blemishes, warps, sleeve rash etc.  If the condition of the record is anything but new I will give it a full listen with a pretty decent pair of Pioneer headphones.  I will give you the details of what I find in the Product Information part. I give all the jackets a dusting regardless. If the jacket is dirty or stained and can be cleaned without damaging it, I will do that as well. When I am done the LP & jacket go into a 2 mil protective clear plastic sleeve. The standard way I store and ship is with the LP & sleeve behind the jacket to prevent spine split, ring wear etc...to the jacket.  During mailing each LP is put between two cardboard record pads and then inside the record mailer. Everything is stamped fragile but if your local PO/Mail Carrier is not the gentlest, let me know and I take that into account when packing.
