Description
Rare Original 1989 Atlantic Records SD 8236 1st pressing of Led Zeppelin II. This is the legendary hot mix pressing by Robert Ludwig. This legendary mix was the 1st and considered by many the best version of this awesome LP. The loudness of the mix was remastered soon after because many cheap stereo turntables couldn't handle it - many returns for defective records caused Atlantic to have it remastered. Overall, this is a nice example of this rarity.
Let me start out by saying we are NOT record dealers and know very little about grading vinyl. If we say that it loosk good, that means it works well with few or no scratches, etc and plays well to "OUR" ears. Please keep this mind. All Led Zeppelin LPs are from a single owner Led Zeepelin lover who took card of but used his vinyl. All are what we believe to be 1st pressings and most have something special about them that we will try to describe.
Record is overall nice shape with a few scratches but still plays nicely and sounds great especially when using a good turntable and a little equalization. Comes in original cover jacket and original Atlantic inner sleeve. Dead wax on side 1 reads ST-A-691671-A-m-AT-RL; Side 2 reads ST-A-691672A-DRE-AT-RL. Original cover is nice with no splits - original owner name in lower right corner. Some wear from age and storage but displays nicely. Overall a nice example of this rare classic piece of recording history.
