Up for sale is this original authentic ‘Hot Mix’ 1st pressing of “Led Zeppelin II” issued in 1969 in The United States with ‘RL’ in the deadwax on both sides. Side 1 has ‘RL’ only where side 2 has ‘RL SS’. This record is also a Presswell pressing since it has ‘PR’ on the bottom of the labels. I play tested both sides today on my Thornes td 320 turntable & the record plays in excellent playback all the way through with the Great ‘hot mix’ with a few light crackles & pops in between songs & a few quite passages. This record was only played on audiophile equipment a few times over the many years. Now i definitely see why this Robert Ludwig mix is so amazing. The record plays with a 3D effect & the bass, vocals, guitar & the drums sound terrific. The band is on fire in this mix. The original matching gatefold cover is near mint condition being protected by the factory shrink over the years. The shrink has both hype stickers affixed to the shrink. The cover also has 4 square corners. Also included is the original 1969 Atlantic Records company inner sleeve in ex shape. The audiophile expert on YouTube from Arizona says in his record store he has had over 500 RL’s come into in his record store over the last 5 years but never better than very good+ condition. These original pressings were mostly all played to death & enjoyed. Has to be one of the top 5 best sounding Rock record pressings of all time.
